Diversity Scholarship
The Drake Symposium is pleased to offer six diversity scholarships for the 2024 Symposium through the generous support of the American Academy of Actuaries. Current university students of under-represented backgrounds or members of the LGBTQI+ community who are interested in the actuarial profession are encouraged to apply. The scholarship is limited to students in the contiguous United States.
Scholarship recipients will have their travel, lodging, meals, and registration costs covered for the 2024 Drake Symposium up to $600. Scholarship winners will share a hotel room with one other recipient. Scholarship recipients must be available to travel to Des Moines, Iowa from March 29-30, 2024.
Students do not need to have passed an actuarial exam to qualify for the scholarship. Students of all ages and majors are encouraged to apply, as long as they are interested in the actuarial profession. Preference will be given to those who can document their interest in the actuarial profession, either through their studies or other activities. Please apply via the link below!
